Embracing Neurodiversity & Self-Acceptance

Autistic children often experience the world in a beautifully unique way. However, they can also face challenges related to sensory sensitivities, communication, and social interaction. My therapy approach is neurodivergent-affirming, meaning we focus on embracing strengths, reducing anxiety, and fostering self-acceptance rather than trying to "fix" differences.

Through personalized sessions, we will work on:

  • Managing sensory sensitivities in daily environments.

  • Navigating social interactions and self-expression.

  • Building emotional regulation techniques to manage stress.

  • Cultivating self-confidence and embracing individuality.

Building Communication & Social Skills

Autistic youth often communicate in ways that differ from neurotypical peers. I provide a judgment-free, patient, and adaptable space where we can develop practical communication tools that work best for your child.

  • Strengthening verbal and nonverbal communication skills.

  • Practicing social scripts in real-life scenarios.

  • Encouraging self-advocacy and expressing needs effectively.
